First Smiles
Caleb started smiling at 5 weeks. Of course it happened the day Paul left on a trip. I can't describe to you the pleasure it gave me to see my son smile! It was glorious! I couldn't wait to see him do it again and again. This picture was taken a few days after he started smiling.
Caleb's professional pictures
My good friend, Allison, is a professional photographer. She is amazing! She usually likes to do newborn shots before babies are 2 weeks old, but I guess we just forgot about it with Sarah's wedding and everything going on. So when Caleb was 20 days old, she took some pictures. If you asked me, they turned out awesome! I'm so glad she did this for us. We will treasure them for years to come. She also did our maternity pictures.

Here are a few maternity pictures in case you never saw them.

Mom and Carl visit
Paul's mom and her boyfriend, Carl, came to visit at the beginning of June. We went to see the Angel Oak Tree and the Charleston Tea Plantation. It was amazing to see how simple the whole tea making process is!
We also finally made it to Middleton Place, an historic plantation, to see the gardens and dine at the fabulous restaurant. They have the best She Crab Soup I've ever tasted - it's heavenly!

Sarah's Wedding
On May 30, Paul's sister, Sarah, got married. She and Nick had a lovely wedding and a fun reception. This was Caleb's first of 3 weddings this summer!
