River Walk Lighting Ceremony

The San Antonio Holiday River Parade and Lighting Ceremony takes place each year after Thanksgiving on the River Walk. It starts off the Christmas season by lighting thousands and thousands of Christmas lights all along the River Walk. This year there were about 25 floats all decorated with Christmas carol themes. We went down expecting to buy tickets so we could sit and watch the parade, but a really nice man came up to us and gave us two awesome tickets for free! Apparently he had several from his workplace that he was giving away to people as a Christmas gift. So nice! And the best part was, they were at the Arneson Theatre - the best spot to view the parade of boats and also where the news channel was broadcasting from! It was a lot of fun, and really helped us get in the Christmas mood.
